- the power
- the hours of operation
- the cost of energy
- the number of luminaires
Let’s calculate energy savings with a concrete example, the lighting of a football pitch, the lighting of a sports facility.
Metal halide headlights are installed in the football pitch lighting system. The brightness flux from 30,000 to 40,000 lm is comparable to a 400W metal halide lamp.
Calculation of the energy cost of lighting of a sports facility
With standard metal halide lamps:

Annual energy cost:
